Community Involvement

As a community credit union, it's not only part of Unitus’ philosophy, but its responsibility to give back to the communities it serves. The notion of "People Helping People" is an original declaration of credit unions nationwide—credit unions were founded to help people who could not get assistance from another financial institution.

Unitus Community Credit Union is proud of its work in the community and encourages its employees to get involved. Unitus offers full-day and half-day volunteer opportunities with its community partners throughout the year. Unitus’ community involvement policy was formed by the Board of Directors with input from the CEO and leadership team.

Unitus primarily supports organizations that provide vital services such as, food, shelter and clothing to individuals and families. However, Unitus also partners with groups that focus on education and financial literacy.
